Diabetic Foot Care

Podiatrists play a crucial role in helping diabetic patients prevent foot-related complications. A podiatrist will perform comprehensive foot examinations to detect problems and provide treatment before complications occur.

Many people with diabetes develop peripheral neuropathy, which can impair their ability to sense pain. This increases the risk for wounds and can cause them to go undetected longer, allowing them to become more severe.

Our physicians at Advanced Podiatry are members of the American Diabetes Association. We provide comprehensive diabetic foot care including foot examinations, wound prevention, and treatment of foot conditions caused by diabetes. Diabetic shoes are also available.
